Barin Cárdenas

CEO/Founder

20 years in this industry and I’m still learning something new everyday. My career has taken me to shipyards and cultures all over the world – USA, Taiwan, Italy, China, Croatia, Germany, France, and The Netherlands. Over 50+ builds and about half of them have been hull #1’s! The projects have been equally varied – sportfish boats, long-range trawlers, high speed motoryachts, catamarans, superyachts…even an all-electric tender that broke a world speed record!

Yes, my projects picked up some decent recognition along the way, but most of all, I gained invaluable experience, and irreplaceable relationships with shipyards, designers, surveyors…and my dear clients.

With my third decade looming, I decided to fully commit to my passion and carve a specific path within the industry. I’m taking all my experience and combining it with super teams to deliver bespoke build experiences. My team’s vision is that the creation and build process should be as magical as the yacht itself. Whitten "Whit" Hall

Creative Director

Accomplished marine marketer and [oftentimes] insufferable perfectionist. As Creative Director, Whit manages YachtCreators’ curated team of designers & developers. For every team project, the bar he sets is nothing short of Magic.

Over the past 20 years, Whit has worn many caps in the yachting industry – marketer, digital sales manager, graphic designer, event planner, and more. As a result, he possesses an intimate understanding of and can deftly navigate challenges unique to the luxury market.

Expert in Luxury Design, Luxury Events & Sponsorships, Brand Development & Awareness, Email Marketing That Works, Competitive Market Analysis, Team Building, Content Creation, Smart Budgeting, and last but not least, Charity Fundraising.

Born in the warm waters of Paraiba, Brazil and raised in sunny South Florida, the ocean is part of my daily life. My career at sea began scuba diving South Florida and the Bahamas back in 2005 when I became a master diver, guiding clients underwater and quickly working my way up to captain.

Desirée van Welsum

Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, I pursued early on a career in economics at international organizations throughout Europe and the U.S., where I developed my passion for yachting as a boat owner and operator. Now, with thousands of miles and hours of experience cruising the East Coast & the Bahamas with our beagles and bunnies, I'm putting my unique experience and perspective as an owner/operator to good use as a YachtAmbassador for team YachtCreators.
